Checksum for Windows 8

Calculates a MD5 and SHA1 checksum on a list of files. Checksums are used for detecting errors that may have been introduced during transmission of a file.

When you download a file the content provider will usually list a MD5 or SHA1 hash next to the file. After the file is downloaded you can run this app on the file to make sure that it was downloaded correctly.
